The Ghoul School: Sign-Ups

Despite being centuries old, Auset's body has remained the same as it was when she was first buried in the sarcophagus. As such, she has looked like an eight year old for all her life, and will continue to look like an eight year old for her afterlife. While she often uses her cute appearance to get her way, she is actually much more mature than all of her classmates (at least, when she wants to be). Underneath all the bandages and bow is a horrific piece of rotting flesh. That being said, if she ever asks you about her appearance, you better praise her or father will hear about your insult. 


Race/Monster:
Auset is a mummy, buried alive centuries ago. The intention was to send her and the rest of her family to a peaceful afterlife. However, in reality the land of the living was not quite done with her yet, and so her family were forced to do everything in their power to turn the real world into the blissful afterlife they had always envisioned. As a mummy, Auset has two big advantages over all other monsters: wealth and experience. Being alive for centuries means that Auset has been exposed to all manner of different subjects, meaning that there are very few things at the Ghoul School she will be hearing about for the first time. Heck, her father may have even wrote a book on the subject at some point (immortal mummies get bored). Furthermore, while the world has certainly changed from ancient Egypt, one thing has remained the same: people like shiny things,  and as royalty, her family's tomb was covered in gold. Her father had enough to start his own Band-aid company, and her family has been immensely wealthy ever since. Anything that Auset desires is at her disposal. Auset has also been wrapped in her bandages for so long that they have essentially become an extension of her body. As such, she can move her bandages at will, allowing her to grip objects when she does not have a free hand. Typically, she uses this to multitask. 


Likes/Interests/Hobbies:
Auset enjoys history, particularly anything involving her family. She also enjoys shopping for just about anything. Most importantly, Auset likes getting her way. 


Dislikes/Weaknesses:
Auset hates fire. If her bandages were to go up in flames, she would be horrified. Furthermore, she dislikes math. Having a seemingly endless amount of wealth at one's disposal makes numbers feel so meaningless. Finally, Auset hates when she does not get her way, and will argue even with teachers if they displease her. 


Personality:
In simple terms...Auset is a spoiled brat. For centuries she has been given everything she could ever desire by her parents, and despite her age they have always put off sending her to the Ghoul School to learn more about how the world of monsters functions. Her parents still view her as merely a child even though she is actually older than most of the Ghoul School staff. She is argumentative, arrogant, and has no problem speaking her mind. She views everyone else as a lesser being who need her leadership. 


Biography:
Auset and her family were Egyptian royalty. While her family welcomed their daughter into the family, they were saddened by the how frail she was. Auset, ever since birth, was a very sickly child, and she had trouble breathing. None of the family's doctors knew what to do, and so it was decided that if they could not give her a good life among the living, then they would do everything in their power to prepare their daughter for a comfortable afterlife. The entire family, along with their servants, were buried beneath a pyrammid so that in the afterlife they would be together. However, when their tomb was eventually opened by a hapless adventurer, they found that they were not in the afterlife at all. In fact, outside of smelling like the child of old gym socks and rotting fruit, they were very much alive! And so her mummy and daddy set about trying to make the real world more like the wonderful afterlife they had always envisioned with their daughter. 

Misc/Tokens: Sphynx is Auset's pet cat who, after being reawakened along with the rest of her family, had somehow swapped brains with one of the family's servants. Outside of how one of their servants meowed like a cat, no one seemed to mind. Sphynx is even capable of speech and, for the entirety of Auset's afterlife, has served as her bodyguard, butler, and trusted adviser. Sphynx is incredibly wise, having used his immortality to learn as much as he can about both the natural and supernatural world. Her family even were able to convince the teachers at the Ghoul School to allow Sphynx to accompany their daughter so that he can continue to watch over her. Unfortunately, even though Sphynx always seems to know better than Auset, he is unable to control her in any way shape or form, and she always just does as she pleases. Still, at least he tries. 

Legacy: While her family never attended the Ghoul School, her father, Osiris, has made several substantial donations. He believes that the fact that the family name is on the new Ghoul School gymnasium that he helped to fund serves as a sign that his daughter deserves preferential treatment. 

Name: Amy Carter

Appearance: While Amy is, strictly speaking, able to take any shape her slime allows her to, she tends towards a humanoid shape. Granted, having legs is a difficult endeavor she rarely can manage for long, so she tends to sort of just… gloop around in a half-human, half-puddle shape.

Race/Monster: Slime

Likes/Interests/Hobbies: While Amy loves to pretend to like doing whatever she’s told, she really has a great interest in just puddling up somewhere and relaxing, away from prying eyes. However, this strikes a stark contrast with her inherent urge to hug everyone she sees, a seemingly harmless maneuver that’s really just a step away from how a slime like Carter consumes prey. That aside, she has a great interest in humans and how they interact socially, and pursues classes to this end. In terms of hobbies, Amy has a thing for binging Netflix and playing board/card games that have the capacity for teamwork.

Dislikes/Weaknesses: Extreme temperatures. Being less than solid, Amy’s movement is very restricted when in extreme cold and her ‘shape-shifting’ is similar afflicted in extreme heat, leaving her with a dislike for fire, freezers, hot summer days, cold winter nights, etc.

Personality: Amy doesn’t have a spine.

Well, literally speaking, of course, but also in terms of personality. She’s very much a ‘go with the flow’ kind of person, bending to the will of stronger individuals on a regular basis. She’s regularly trod on because of it, but compared to the alternative Carter is happy to continue living as she does. At least, that’s what she tells herself.

Biography: Amy’s led a simple life since splitting (literally) from her parent slime in a necromancer’s dungeon. Having no use for yet another minion, she was allowed to leave and wander at her leisure… which caused a slight panic in a small rural town before Carter was, fortunately, discovered by the Headmaster of St. Genevieve Preparatory School and invited to attend.
