> Good evening, this is Humphrey White calling from International Genetics Incorporated in Palo Alto, California. Sorry to bother you in these off-hours - I was hoping to speak to you personally one-on-one, but another time perhaps. InGen is currently helming a massive operation with the intention of utilizing global assets to their finest capabilities. Your CV was passed along to my desk because your skills are extremely valuable for our future project; we truly need the best of the best and we're willing to pay twice our competitors rates for your employment. I'm not at leisure to disclose the exact instances of this project due to nondisclosure agreements with InGen, but this will be a 3-month assignment in Central America with all expenses paid. I'm a bit jealous: InGen is putting you in a five-star beachside resort while I'm here behind a desk, working phones. Ha! In all seriousness, International Genetics Incorporated has chosen you for a one-of-a-kind assignment unlike anything on the planet. Time is of the essence, however. If you can call me back at 1-800-786-1410, Extension 33 or just speak with our operators, we can expedite this process and get you flown out on time for the project. Thanks again and good luck!

JP:TCE is gonna be an Roll20.net focused RP, built on the Savage Worlds system. It's an incredibly easy system to use and generate characters, with a focus on great interactions just as much as combat. A couple rules and breakdowns for the RP:
It's 1994, almost one year later from the events of Jurassic Park. Because of both the the short time since the finale and lawsuits from InGen in cooperation with Costa Rica, there has been no leak in information in regards to what happened. So, no one knows of the park, or the existence of cloned dinosaurs, or any of that (excluding top executives at InGen of course.) Also, Lost World hasn't happened and we probably won't be dealing with Site B in any way.
InGen has chosen you because of who you are and what you can do. This is a huge freedom for character development and allows you to be anything really. This secret expedition is a massive project that will require staff for everything. We will need everything ranging from veterinarians/animal experts, mechanics/engineers, paleontologists, hunters/trackers, botonists, business men and women, scientists/explorers, commanders and operatives. Let the setting mold you; there's no reason to be a baseball player or a priest, get me?
Yes, there will be combat but there is going to be a lot of exploring and discovery. You won't be shotgunning T-Rexes, but rather tasked with assignments to get Jurassic Park back to a state of control and cleaned up. This ranges from major elements such as getting systems back online, wrangling/capturing dinosaurs and helping the expedition reclaim lost facilities. You'll have a commissary to request gear even after the initial point but to get things like helicopters and cargo boats into the island requires work to be put in.
Ingenuity and creativity are my two favorite assets to playing. This game will have its seriousness of course but I will always reward players who risk trying things for the sake of a great session. The freedom comes from you the player. Still, here are the following Savage World restrictions:
- There is no Streetwise Skill, since there are no streets or cities to work. As a result, it's either Survival, Investigation or Notice depending on scenario.
- There is no Bloodthirsty Hindrance, even if you're a big time hunter. InGen is not looking for a psychopath to shoot their $100,000,000 creations.
- There is no Doubting Thomas Hindrance, since you will not be dealing with the supernatural.
- There is no Arcana Edge/Powers in any form. No one will be no Paladins shooting fireballs at dinosaurs (unfortunately)
- Beast Bond and Beast Master are accepted. You can bring your companion pet, but they are susceptible to being eaten as well. Though you may have a better relationship with dinosaurs through animal magnetism, don't expect to be riding a Triceratops or controlling Velociraptors.
- There will be vehicles, but you're not bringing any to the island. Boating, Piloting and Driving are all going to be used in some way or another; Riding is up in the air for now as I don't expect anyone to bring horses to Isla Nublar.
Aside from that, there's no other restrictions! Feel free to sketch out any archetypes here or seek me out on Discord to work them out.
