The Golden Rule Of The Sewer (And the Rest)

We here at the Sewer try to keep things pretty loose and free so that you, the creators, can feel free to make things and enjoy each others' company without a lot of petty nonsense complicating things. For that reason, all rules of the Sewer can be summed up by our single golden rule:

Don't Be A Dick

All other rules fall under this principle, and may even be subverted by this singular super-law that guides our destinies.

1. Keep The Sewer (Relatively) Clean: While we are all mature adults, and mature content topics only need to be tagged [M] for fair warning, we are not an adult site and thus porn, sexual imagery, extreme gore, and what-have-you are not permitted. The Golden Rule also applies in that you should be respectful of peoples' wishes when they consider a line drawn, particularly in their own topics - If someone asks you to stop, stop.
   
2. Be Civil To People (Even If They Suck): We allow debates, discussions of controversial topics, and criticism, with the knowledge in mind that it can lead to tense situations at times. Don't take your fights and feuds outside of the ring! If you are having a hard time being civil to someone, log off for a bit and give yourself some time to cool down.
   
3. Who Watches The Watchmen (You Do): Me and the Sewer Patrol are not infallible, and sometimes we may make a bad call or do something stupid - don't be afraid to call us out on it if you think we need it! As long as you aren't being a dick about it, we will take your feedback in mind and try to do better where we can.
4. Tag Your Shit: Tagging helps us organize things and browse topics quickly - Unfortunately I haven't had luck with a nice and clean integrated way to do it besides manually tagging your topics. Any new topic you make should follow the tagging rules in the board you're using, with the tags before the title (i.e., [M][RP] Grom & Hawk Go On Vacation). Some boards don't have tags, so in that case don't worry about it. This is not a huge deal unless the Sewer Patrol has to spend an inordinate amount of time tagging all your threads.
