[Ideas] Turn-Based Hex Tabletop PvP Strat

So this is a placeholder for now, but essentially I want to mash a bunch of different genres together on a board that can look like this:
It'd be on Roll20 and the premise is this: they'd be single session one-off games where earlier in the week someone could decide to DM (or the game could potentially be run without a DM?), people would sign up and by the weekend we'd have a one day game. Or some other convenient time because some people work weekends, whatever.
Anywho, games would go something like this:
-everyone starts off with a squad of archetypes
-each player picks which archetype to lead their squad
-the archetype is the one you sink xp into in terms of skills, character progression, etc.
-the rest of your squad runs around as level 1 mooks and does archetype stuff
-as you gain xp, your mooks can benefit from archetype specific buffs depending on who you chose as captain (eg a wizard can cast spells on their own squad that buff defense, or a burly brute can make everyone armour--multiple ways to get same/similar buffs)
There'd be multiple ways to win the game, perhaps decided before the game starts such as a time limit (most HP left when the time runs out wins), highest XP gain, most squares moved, etc.
I've still got to put the game, archetypes, and initial maps together, then figure out roll20, but anyone interested?

-Warrior/Knight (Heavy Armour/Large Weps)
-Merchant/Bard/Speech
-Scout/Spy
-Scholar/Scientist/Tech
-Healer
-Wizard
-Assassin (Light Armour/Small Weps)
