"No, Polly, you should go... you asked first, I don't want to get in your way." Matthew replied, "um, I mean, I mean the way, of both of you." He looked at his feet.
Weitz just looked sheepish in return. “Well, I mean…”
Her voice drifted off as she noticed the fact that his hair was gaining a hue of pink. "Sorry..." Matthew mumbled as he finally noticed, and he squinted as it reverted back to normal. "I don't always notice when it happens."
“...T-that’s new.” Polly managed in a quiet breath, faintly awed.
"But, um... it was just an idea. The whole mimicking your powers thing..."
“O-oh, uh, well, i-it wasn’t bad!” She offered, a tad quickly. “I mean… i-if you mimic her powers, i-it’s safer for both of you to… uh… g-get in the way she does. S-shrinking is sorta risky with that…” Weitz admitted, nodding at Phaedra in acknowledgement of her warning.
“So… i-it’s a good idea if you two go in first, I-I think.” Polly clarified meekly.

”Miss Photon,” she said excitedly, nodding. ”Or Katelyn, or just Kate. I think we ran into each other once. Great to actually, you know, meet you properly!”
Barbara nodded slightly, having to bend at the waist to really get that motion across. “Indeed, young lady.” She agreed with a lighter tone of voice. It was difficult to feel as down and… empty as she usually did when in the company of such chipper individuals. A smile was really beginning to spread across her face for the first time in a while.
Photon took a moment to marvel over Kid Wonder, and he seemed to reply almost entirely in kind.
"It's excellent to meet you both, Miss Photon, Psi Hard. Your telepathic control and your levitation will undoubtedly come in handy for this mission. Ah, and speaking of..."
In a blur, Kid Wonder secured his own parachute and optical camo as he had seen the others do right before. Needless to say, Barbara was impressed by how fast he could catch on… though he did have some experience with these things, she supposed. Not quite like herself and these damned modern computers...
"I think it looks good myself! What do you think?"
“It looks wonderful.” Psi Hard complimented, almost sounding like a doting grandmother.
Out of the corner of her eye, Wright noticed Miss Photon create from nothingness a translucent blue spatula that slid carefully under her kit, sending it flying up to where her free hand could catch it. As she put it on, she addressed Barbara. ”So, Psi, any cool powers, besides the armor and that cool floating thing? You’re, like… telekinetic, right?”
Barbara nodded, pretty much imperceptibly. “That’s correct. I’m also… ah… I think they called it ‘techno-pathic’?” She offered an equally hard-to-see shrug. “I can sort of… mess with computers with my head. It makes it much easier to sort out all this new techno-babble stuff.” She chuckled, albeit with a frustrated edge in her tone.
Fortunately, she noticed Kid Wonder saunter over to where they were going to drop out, and the heavily-armored, mind-powered super followed after him.
"Last one out buys the milkshakes!"
“You’re on, Kid.” Barbara Wright finally grinned, cracking her knuckles and letting the thrill of the idea of skydiving pumping her up. It was time to fly.
