[Ideas] RP Assistance/Peer Review Topic

Post-Apocalyptic Military Sci-Fi story with Mech combat? I like all of those things.

Here are two concepts, so far, I have about half of the sign-up for Non Timebo Mala, however I'm uncertain if it will be interesting to the few people who still do post-by-post here. The weird mecha one is trashed, but I've continued to develop ideas, albeit slowly.

Without further ado:

Non Timebo Mala

A paranormal noir/horror story set in a fictional city known as San Dismas. There are a few parallels to Agents of SIN and Greygate, although it's not too extreme. The story will center around a division of supernatural beings who have been brought together by the International Bureau of Paranormal Investigation to follow a series of strange events in San Dismas. In a city where ghosts and werewolves aren't an uncommon sight, what has caused concern for the Bureau?

The story will be more Abrahamic and Biblical than S.I.N or Greygate was, focusing on things like Angels and Demons and the Rapture, while also having Lovecraftian and occult themes as well. I've been hashing this idea around for weeks, and slowly writing and rewriting what I have written. This would not be an RP that required a large amount of commitment, I understand how busy many members are with their own projects and lives, but I'd like to see if I can bring some people back together for something like this.

Untitled Post-Apocalyptic RP (Frostbite?)

Exactly what it says on the can. Before Non Timebo Mala, I had been writing a post-apocalyptic RP, but stopped when I wanted a change of pace. However, the idea of a group of people surviving the aftermath still stuck with me. This RP would take place in Western Canada the environment has been changed and the seasons seem to last forever. Most of Humanity survives in small communities, and most military or government influence is absent. Your group are among some of the first to encounter The Army, southern neighbors who have their sites on using the North for their own ends. This RP focuses on characters living in a realistic apocalypse where man is his own greatest enemy, and change is the law of life.

I haven't completely worked out this idea, and help would be appreciated. That's what the critique board is for, right?


I would like to hear some feedback. I plan on only running one of them, but I want to run something enjoyable and interesting. Thank you.
